Digital media is either a saviour of story-tellers, or a thief of copyright and income. In the nature of the medium, The Project Factory’s (Encore’s Best Cross-Platform Production Company) Guy Gadney will bring stories about his experiences of what works and what bombs online. He will cover the opportunities for television and filmmakers and open up the session to discuss projects from the audience. So come armed, ready to share your thoughts and arguments. This session will delve into the transmedia world like no other. 

Bio:

Guy is founder and director of the transmedia entertainment company, The Project Factory. The company is jointly based in London and Sydney, and partners with television and movies companies around the world to produce interactive entertainment on mobiles, online, and on games platforms.

The Project Factory recently co-produced the online movie project Smashcut with film director Gregor Jordan, and has built 3D projects and world for the ABC, Telstra and CSIRO.

Guy has worked at the coalface of the digital revolution over the past 20 years and has produced over 200 projects in the UK and Australia. He has headed up digital projects for Penguin Books UK, BBC Worldwide, The Guardian, FOXTEL, BigPond and PBL Media prior to joining The Project Factory. His experience crosses creative development, business planning, revenue creation and marketing.




This symbol indicates this is a ‘Student Friendly’ session on our Student Day Friday 27 May. Most of these can be attended by young and old. Please note that the Oovie Theatre before 4pm is restricted to under 18s, however adults can attend if accompanied by a youngster under 18.
